Putting the Plan in Action

Honorable Parish Council Members, Beloved Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Both Fr. Athanasios and I would like to extend our deepest thanks to you for your time, effort, and insight. Without your commitment we would not have been able to make the progress we have this summer. It has truly been a wonderful learning experience and joy to be able to work with you. As you review these new documents we ask you consider how you would like to be involved in the life of our church, and what you are able to offer.

As the start of our ministry year approaches, we now will begin to turn our focus to putting our plan for the year into action. As with our meetings, we will need everyone’s assistance in order to make our hopes and aspirations for our children and our community a reality. We now, amongst ourselves and in our wider community, need to turn out focus to organizing our leadership for these ministries.

In this next phase, we will:

1.     Develop an Organizational Structure for our Youth Ministries

2.     Detail Responsibilities for Organizing and Maintaining our Ministries

3.     Agree on a Leadership Meeting Schedule to discuss on-going activities and work

For many of us, this may be the first time that we are asked to help coordinate or lead a ministry. Naturally, we might feel intimidated or overwhelmed. That’s okay! We will not be working alone, or in a vacuum. This is a journey we will all grow through, make mistakes on, and carry one another through. A life which faces these challenges with prayer, hope and joy is what life in the Church is all about, and carrying out this work is how we as a Church realize our vocation.

I am thankful to be on this journey with you, and to labor in the Lord’s vineyard with you. May God bless us in this work, and enlighten our eyes, hearts, and minds!

With love in Christ,

+ Fr. Nicholas Mueller
